11:24 pm - Flatline...

Flatline was fun. I spun lot's. Unfortunately, my DayQuil ran out about half way through my set, so I spent the rest of the night sitting around like a zombie. Which was, quite appropriate given the theme of the night. I had a fever before I went to the club and that hasn't let up much.

I'm going to bed at a sane time tonight (assuming I don't get distracted by shiny things...) and am if my fever doesn't let up, I'm going to call out sick to work.

Maybe.

06:15 pm - CORRECTION: Flatline Zombie Night...

My apologies, I had DJ [info]dehuman8 listed as being on to spin for the next Flatline. When, in fact, it is DJ Gabriell.

I suck.

10:38 pm - FLATINE: GOTH PROM

Some funkiness with the camera turned this pic blue. What a beautiful accident... much like my outfit.

Yay for boobies in fishnet!</1>

Last night was a lot of fun. Not as many came out for the Goth Prom as did for the Halloween bash. BUT, there were a lot of new faces, younger folk. It's always nice to meet the next generation of degenerates and perverts. ;)

I was working on about 2 hours of sleep and 4 cups of coffee, so like the spaz I am, I forgot to write down my set list. I know people were asking about the tracks Noisuf-X Hit Me Hard and Faderhead Dirty Grrrls, Dirty Bois... so if a certain track caught your ear, it was likely one of those two.

Like I said... I was really out of it. I sort of threw an outfit together. Including a suggestion by [info]klemrev to wear an old bridesmaid dress she bought at the Salvation Army for a few bucks. Unfortunately, the top of the dress wouldn't fit around my enormous chest, so I just tucked it down into the lower part and wore it like a skirt. Another of her suggestions was to add the wings we bought at a Post-Halloween sale. :)

I had some pictures taken while at the club (by someone who actually knows photography in and out) so when those surface I will be sure to share them.

FLATLINE - Where we're going, you don't need a pulse...

12:20 am - FLATLINE!!!

HOLY FOOKIN' COW!! Flatline was AMAZING tonight!! O.O

We packed the North Star! It was wonderful to see so many people come out for the event! I spoke with a number of people who were "scouting" the night out for their group of friends, so hopefully we will see EVEN MORE out next time! I felt like I was going to cry I was so happy! :)

I forgot to write down my setlist. Nothing too out of the ordinary to discuss music wise. I spun some Puscifer just because I think the music is hilarious ("This lady got the thickness... can I get a witness?"). Tonight I once again proved that, if you need your dancefloor cleared, I am the DJ to call. Serves me right for breaking the momentum by drifting below the 140BPM line. :\

It was so much fun, but I felt so bad because I was so out of it. I didn't really get sleep the night before, had a rough, long day at work, and then rushed through getting ready (my make-up was not up to my standards) skipping supper in the process. By the time I got to the cafe my brain had detached a little and I spent a good chunk of the night in austic headspace.

[info]cheshiretomcat's little one won the costume contest in her adorable GIR outfit. I laugh because when I put the gift basket together, I sort of had someone slightly older in mind. Oh well, I'm sure in she will fit into those Halloween socks and stripey tights in a decade or two. XD

I'm really glad everything worked out. I really needed that uplift. :)

06:28 pm - FLATLINE: HALLOWEEN!!

(My design... isn't she CUTE!!)

I'm excited to announce the return of the Gothic Maine ALL AGES monthly gothy event: Flatline

Being resurrected, appropriately enough, on HALLOWEEN NIGHT!

Flatline will now be held at North Star Music Cafe. It's a really cute coffee shop, that has a sound system set up for live music. They, of course, serve coffee, but they also have beer and wine for all you 21+ peeps. (The Irish pub, The Snug is also right next door, if you need something a little stronger. ;)

It's FREE!!!!

So come! And bring all your little gothlings along with you! :)

10:54 pm - FLATLINE!!!

PFFT! Goths don't smile!! ;)

Flatline last night was quite fun! Thanks to THE COMMITTEE and big thanks to all who made it out! The turn out was quite decent, and despite a bit of a delayed start due to technical difficulties, all went quite smoothly! Everyone deserves cookies!

Not knowing what the gothlings of today listen to, I was quite nervous about having the right musics available. It would seem that the tracks that got the best reception were the less mainstreamy stuff we would play for the older crowd at Plague. The requests were for artists like CombiChrist so its good to know that the younger generation has taste. I brought a couple Marilyn Manson albums, just in case. But, Cthulhu knows I didn't want to have to use them. ;)

My set was alright, I got some props, but I wasn't too thrilled with some of my beat-matching. DJ 8-bit did great (although he emphatically stats the opposite), and DJ Gabriell was fantastico, as per usual.

I met a groovy young DJ and a fellow Fruity Loops Junkie. We had a great discussion on the art of making electronic music. Though our musical tastes are not perfectly inline, I think we are coming from very similiar creative mind states.

I also got to met up with some old friends... and that's always nice. ;)

I managed to snap a picture while running out the door. My own vanity is demanding I record my make-up jobs and outfits when I go out to the club. When I manage to get a decent digital camera of my own, I want to take it out to the club with me to document the night. As I've said before... these events, these people, MUST be captured on "film."

Well... now I must shut up and get to work on tomorrow's comic before I pass out. It's already way too late, as I am still in training with my new position at work.

*sigh* not enough hours in a day. :)
