LJ Characters...
I never know what to say to people... that's mostly why I never comment on other people's LJ. My loss of words increases exponentially when the subject matter increases in emotional intensity. I feel like ever word that I mutter is utterly cliche and silly.

In this I've for a long time considered having a set of little characters to illustrate my feelings that I could post in response to people. They'd know I read and appreciate their thoughts.

Anyways... I saw this as an opportunity to explore animation a bit more.

Look I made a little shiny blue thing cry...

Aw, he looks sad. He looks kind of how I felt last night after nearly killing one of my characters. I'm still not fully awake.

I think the most heart-wrenching part of that little guy is not that it's crying, but how the tears well up in the eyes before they fall.

Well, hey. I'm actually surprised; I had not the faintest clue you knew Brynn. :)

Look a made a little shiny blue thing cry...

And isn't that the true meaning of Christmas?

These are interesting ideas you are having. I think many people feel similarly and wonder if this might be helpful as a trend.

Some might argue it is an inducement to laziness. In the general I might agree. In the particular, no.

I know how you feel about the words. Still, it's the emotion that counts.

I love the little shiny blue thing! Make some more. You need two hugging, though. People need hugs more than anything.

You need a happy bouncy one too. We out here in LJ-land will try and give you plenty of reason to use it.

Kind of like a little icicle boy who knows he's going to eventually melt away...

I don't always know what to say either, but even trying, whether or not it's coming off to someone as cliché or silly, it's still an effort.

I know someone commented once to say they didn't know what to say, but that they were reading, cared and all that. Which was something. Which I really appreciated.

We can't always have some spiffy thing to say, words fail sometimes, sometimes there's nothing to do but glomp someone, which isn't really even enough sometimes. It's the knowing that someone's there and they care even if they can't think of things to say or do to magically make things better. So often nothing will make certain things better. But knowing you aren't completely alone is bound to be of some comfort to one extent or another.

Honestly , most people don't know what to say when the emotions intense. They just don't want to make the situation worse, and are afraid their comment would do that. Your idea is good.( and pretty cute)

Most people who are in emotionally intense situations just want to know they are not alone. What you say is kinda irrelevant much of the time. Most just want to know someone cares.
