Chinese Wildlife Irony...
China OK's hunting of endangered species

Two things struck me as ironic about this:

  • Only foreigners can apply for the hunting licenses, because the gun control laws for the Chinese people are too strict.

  • They are allowing hunters to kill a bunch of wild animals in order raise money for "wild animal protection."


    • Pure brilliance that can only be produced from three thousand years of civilized thought.

    AND: As I re-read the article, it occured to me that there is a taste of hypocrisy in all this as well...

    i'm amazed with the hipocracy of the american relations with china. we ignore everything they do because they are economically viable as an ally, often doing the same things we use as justification for invading other countries.

    Well I've read that people are wondering if the Panda will be included. If it is, that would very likely fetch the highest price. But, that is also an honored symbol of China, so I don't imagine pandas will be in included. That would be like having an all-you-can-eat deep fat fry Eagle buffet here in the US.

    Eagle tastes like spotted owl, though it has a touch of condor when you fry it.

    Hope the pandas are spared, really. A pair of twin pandas both just had twins. They need to live!

    Twins having twins!! They are breeding out of control!! Soon there will be overpopulations and they will die from disease and starvation!! We need to start a panda hunting season!! It's the only ethical thing to do!!!!!!
